Reliable Scrumptious Menu. Romaine's is my favorite restaurant in Northborough. It's a higher end sort of treat but I can't count the birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays I've celebrated there. Their menu is best described as "down home sophisticated". They have wonderful roasts and chops with freshly made garlic potatoes and delicious choices of lightly cooked vegetables. And don't pass on dessert! My favorite is a warm, chocolate cream filled cake with whipped cream (I think it's called "Fallen chocolate?"

Consistently good in central MA.
My wife and I frequent this restaurant, and the steaks, lamb, duck and seafood are excellent. Appetizers are eclectic and delicious. Service is consistent, knowledgeable and attentive. They also have a great cocktail menu.
While the menu is upscale, the atmosphere is unpretentious and you won't feel out of place with kids or jeans.
Don't bother with the pizza -- it's mediocre.
However, you must try the bread pudding dessert, it's to die for!
This place is a long-standing hidden gem in central MA.
