I'm partially blind, partially deaf, have nerve damage to the lower spine and legs, and excessive high cholesterol. My husband and I entered this restaurant and headed to a table to accommodate my needs. We were blocked by a young waitress and redirected to a table for two across the empty restaurant. I tried to explain my need to see the board, but was cut off. An older waitress came over and made us sit across from the board saying I could just stand up and go over to read it. I tried to explain about the pain that would cause but was cut off again. Because of their discrimination and intolerance I was unable to make an educated decision on my diet choices. I need to sit next to my husband to hear him. I need to sit next to a sign to read it. I don't need to be talked down to in a public place and then have that person make snide comments about me to other customers. I may not hear her, but my husband did
NEVER GO HERE – I would never go here again, even if it was the last place on earth that had food! My family and I were there on mother's day. It was very busy and we had quite a wait for our food(which wasn't a big deal because it was super busy). Our food came at all different times, again not a deal breaker for me. But then my food came, a bagel(which is listed as just that in the menu "bagel") which was smothered in butter and grilled. I am lactose intolerant(which I should have told them to begin with) so I asked for a new bagel just toasted(which I assumed it would have originally come as). So I'm waiting and waiting and waiting for my one bagel, which came after our bill came! And that wasn't even that big of a deal for me, I can eat a bagel on the run. But then our waitress asked if they had charged us for both bagels on the bill and we said yes, so she took the bill and asked the person who writes the bills to take it off(which I am assuming is Nancy, the owner). This women comes over in a huff and starts berating me about how she's not going to pay for the bagel and we ordered 2 bagels so we will pay for 2. I wanted to defuse the situation so I just said fine ok(I'm not going to argue over 1.50). But apparently she wanted to make a big stink about what I'm assuming costs her about 20 cents. She continued on and on actually saying "who orders a toasted bagel when you can just do that at home", she seriously said that! And all of that after I hadn't even asked to take the bagel off of the bill, I would have happily paid for both bagels because again I didn't warn them about my lactose intolerance. But I can't imagine how someone can run a business like that. It's some real Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmare's type stuff going on there!
HORRIBLE service – The first time my husband and I went there with our 4 kids, there was someone waiting for a table in front of us. It was a couple. They let us sit first because the table that opened first sat 4 and we had 6. As my kids went to sit down, the OWNER, Nancy started yelling at them that the other couple was waiting longer and they had to wait. When the other woman told her that they said to go ahead, no apologies. We enjoyed the food though so we attributed it to it being stress from their move to rt20 (they had just reopened the week before). We went back a few times and had no problems. Today, we went, just hubby and I. The waitress forgot the milk for my tea, I had to ask her for it 3 times. Then she wrote my order wrong so I didn’t get my homefries. Since she never came over to ask how the food was, I never got them, though when she did come over, once we were almost done eating, I did tell her that she forgot them, and that my hubby’s eggs, which he ordered over hard, were runny..yoke not cooked through. I told her not to worry about it though because we were almost done. Once we finished, we waited an extra 15 minutes for the check because she never brought it over. We paid and left. I called a few minutes later to tell the owner about our experiance simply so she would know. I got as far as telling her I was unhappy when she started telling me that I had not ordered homefries. I assured her that I had indeed ordered them and she continued to tell me that I hadn’t, they were not on the check ect. I tried to tell her that was not my only problem and she started giving me attitude almost from the beginning. When I said I had to ask 3 times for the milk for my tea, she stated “Well we give cream” I said I know, thats why I asked for milk, but I should not have had to ask 3 times. SHe accused me of yelling at her on the phone over a few homefries. I was exasperated yes, but certainly not yelling. I never even told her the rest of what I was calling about becasue it was CLEAR that she did NOT care about any of it and was inconvienced by my call and thought I was just trying to get something for nothing. I will NEVER return to that place. I will make it my business to let anyone and everyone know how she treats her customers. I have NEVER been treated like that for calling a complaint in to a place before. I even left the bad waitress a tip! I am APPALED that this woman owns a place and still treats her customers like that.
