One of the western suburbs' top dining deals can be had at this quiet, all-you-can-eat churrascaria..
The Scene
A welcome break from Route 9's countless fast-food joints and chain restaurants, this Brazilian restaurant offers an affordable all-you-can-eat buffet in a clean, minimalist dining room. There's no waiter service, so patrons must retrieve their food from the long buffet bar and fiery grill. No alcohol is served, but there are cans of soda and fruity Latin soft drinks. Pleasant Brazilian servers make sure warm platters of black beans and rice stay full.
The Food
While the hot and cold buffet stations offer plenty of multiethnic, freshly made options, the restaurant's top draw is its impressive rodizio grill. An amiable worker slices unlimited amounts of beef, pork ribs, sausage and chicken thighs to order. Homesick Brazilians enjoy chicken hearts and livers. The buffet includes plenty of starches (potatoes, yucca, rice), as well as passable interpretations of lasagna and other Italian dishes. Fried bananas are a sweet, sticky finish.
