“have recommended this salon to many people, and they all agree, it's a great place.”
“Probably the MOST friendly place I have been to in a long, long time.”
“have been to many other mani/pedi places in the area and Tokyo Nails is the best for the money.”

Worst customer service. I do not understand this place by any means. They do not treat the customer with warmth at all. There are sooooo many other places. When I went to this place I did not have an appointment which I never usually make one at any other place. They all made the biggest deal about the fact that I didn't have an appointment and made me VERY uncomfortable. My husband had bought me some lunch and gave it to me right before he met me to take our baby home so I could treat myself to a mani/pedi. I had started to eat it as they caucused about whether they could accomadate me or not and then she came and said hurry up and we can fit you in, oh and you will have to leave your food here because you will probably drop it in the tub. How rediculous! I am not 2. I am a paying customer. Other places I have been to would never treat a customer like a child. this place is just pain awful. Please do not support these rude people!
Arrogant Employees.
I called a half hour before my 4:30 PM mani/pedi appointment to apologize that I would be ten/fifteen minutes late due to traffic. They haughtily explained that I might not be able to get both treatments which was fine with me. When I arrived I was there FOUR minutes after my appointment time (4:34).
After a bit a woman called me up to the desk and pointed to her computer screen which read 4:42. I looked at her questioningly and she said I was twelve minutes late. I was puzzled and explained that I had been here for several minutes already (having been greeted, checked in, browsed and selected a nail color, seated with an open magazine already halfway through an article when she called me up). I showed her my cell phone time which now read 4:38 (the time being automatically set by the cell phone company). She looked at me like I had two heads and pointed again to the computer screen saying I was twelve minutes late.
She said nothing else and made no move to do anything except point and stare at me. I have no idea what she was trying to accomplish. So after being told I was late again and stared at some more I asked her to cancel my appointment and left.
What a terrible way to treat a potential customer, I just don't understand it. I will certainly never go back and will never recommend anyone to this place. Try Phillip de Palma down route 9 or Wayland Nails on Main St. They at least act like they appreciate their customers. Ugh!
