Terrible experience..
I used to go to Vive Bene when I had out-of-town friends visiting downtown Worcester. This time I brought two Worcester friends who had never been to this restaurant and I was sorely disappointed--in fact, I was embarassed. Not only did Vive NOT win over two potential customers, they lost a previous one.
Granted, we went (with a reservation) on the night of a show at the DCU Center. We expected it to be busy but, apparently, the management of this restaurant did not. The service was absolutely awful; several women i spoke with in the restroom all said the same thing, so I know it was not just a single bad waitress. The food selection was lacking. We waited almost one hour for our food, which arrived lukewarm at best. Also, we were seated directly under a blower for the air conditioner and it was so cold that my friends had to put their jackets on mid-way through the meal.
In short, I will never visit this restaurant again.
Decent food, terrible comedy....
I'm a pretty big fan of stand up comedy, so when I saw that Viva Bene in Worcester had comedy shows on Saturday nights, I decided to check it out with some of my girlfriends.
We had dinner there, had a few drinks and watched the show. We thought the food was okay (at best), but the comedy show was pretty terrible. Viva Bene just isn't the right atmosphere for a comedy show and their comedians weren't very funny.
Mediocore food. Poor service.. My husband and I were in town visiting family and staying at the Hilton. We wanted a little something around 8pm on a Saturday night. I should have followed my instincts when we noticed only 2 parties in a big empty place but we gave it a shot. So so food with a waiter who just couldn't get it right. In fact if you read the previous review that basically describes our experience except we didn't bother with the owner. Don't go!!!
Terrible Dining Experience.
We had hoped for a great night out with friends. We went to the Foothills Theater and had a great time.
Then we went to Viva Bene, and we were so disappointed on so many levels.
Poorly trained staff.
Slow service.
Cold, mediocre food.
An owner who did not come to our table when we asked to see him and who did not make eye contact with us when we found him.
Not even the bill was accurate when we asked to pay for our drinks. There was no way we were paying for our food as it was cold and did not even come at the same time. One meal may still be out there as it never came to our table. Perhaps it went to the people who ordered the meal that came to our table by mistake.
Great location. Attractive. Don't bother.
