Bad Service & food. Went for breakfast, I got Breast skins. Burst, bad service and took almost 30 minutes to get food.
Really Bad Service. I met a friend at the pub yesterday for lunch. He arrived 15 minutes before I did. When I arrived he stated that no one had even acknowledged that he was there. We sat for another 5 minutes waiting for someone to come to the table. We ended up leaving - not one person in there ever even spoke to us! Unfortunately, this is not the first time the service has been poor. Will not go back. I work too hard for my money to spend it where they don't care about the customers.
What a change !!. If you haven't been to Joseph's since the new menu came out, you've got to go ! The new chef has made all the difference in the world. It's pub food with a twist !! The weekly specials sound fantastic. The chicken wings can't be beat. I will most definitely be stopping there for a bucket of them to go for my next party. Who would normally order Mac & Cheese in a restaurant ?? A friend of mine got it and it's to die for !! Sounds like other reviewers weren't impressed with the atmosphere. But if you like watching sports, getting great food, excellent service and drinks in glasses that you can swim in..... Go to Joseph's Bistro !! I can't wait to go back.
Beautiful Service, Skimpy Entree. A friend and I stopped in later in the night on a Sunday and had a beer and played some Keno. Unfortunately there were some loud patrons in there that evening (Two sisters) and there isn’t much you can do about that. What they can do something about is the portions and quality of their food, both of which were lacking. The small, burnt portion of fish and sprinkling of French fries made it look like a $7.99 F&C special, so needless to say when we got the bill for the $15.95 I was shocked. I know I should have looked at the price before I ordered to make sure. I wouldn’t have minded paying that if it was a heaping, fresh plate of food, however it was not and I left disappointed. I’m giving it two stars instead of one because the bartender was hot.
Trashy family atmosphere. Went to Joseph's Bistro on a Friday evening for appetizers with some other moms. Directly in front of us was a man sitting at a computer with pornography plastered all over screen. Thankfully my children were not with me, although there were other families with small children entering at that time. Trashy. Put it in the corner behind a booth, not in public for all to see. Won't go there again. Westminster is a nice town. It's a shame Joseph has to put a damper on it.
Service; iffy, Food good,atmospere...great!.
In reference to the nay sayers, go somewhere else if you want to read a book and eat. This is not Barnes and Nobel...but to place it on a shi* list because you could not read while eating?? Maybe people like to hear the news with their breakfast.
Not your average "Barnes and Nobel" i.e; get a coffee and watch a million people shop for books while you try to read, right? What's more distracting?.. you tell me...
I enjoy reading and do not put the pressure of the public to shut up while I read. If you go to a restaurant to read and it does not suit your fancy, read at home. You weren't there for the food to begin with.
Rude, discourteous, obnoxious manager. Blaring television..
I stopped in on a weekday morning for breakfast. There were only a handful of diners there. The television was blaring a morning show ? loud enough to prevent me from reading my book. I waited and waited for the server to come to I could ask to have the TV turned down, but, she never showed up (I still hadn't ordered at this point). So I stopped on my way out to tell her, politely, that I wouldn't be staying because the TV was too loud. I thanked her and turned to go.
Two women behind the bar started laughing at me, and one of them said, "What the ---?" So, I turned around and informed them that not everyone wants to watch television during their meals. They laughed at me and made a disparaging remark. So, I asked to see the manager and the woman who had used the profanity said, "I AM the manager." So I left.
This isn't the first time that I have had bad experiences with the "management" at Joseph's. And I really don't understand why restaurants feel the need to have the television on, with the sound on, all the time.
I won't be going back.
extremely slow service...very forgetful...blame it on the computer. We came on a Sunday afternoon at 3.......didn't leave until 5:45. 2 of us never got our meals, the french fries were supposed to be mashed potatoes, and we had to remind the waitress about over beverage orders several times. To top it off, we were automatically charged a 17% gratuity.....even though we were 3 separate parties. Then, they couldn't seem to fix it, so I'm waiting to hear from the owner (via the Westminster Police) to settle the bill. I don't mind paying the $99....but I refuse to tip inadequate service!
Good Breakfast. I will agree tha tthe service is slugish at best and I've never heard anyone recommend the place for dinner but their breakfast is great and often worth the wait.
Never Again. The first time my family and I drove to Josephs Bistro and they were closed. Their website states certain hours and then we get all the way there and they are not even open on Monday evenings. The website states they close at 10pm and we arrived at 5pm and they were closed. The second trip we took was the following week, we decided to give it another shot. Well, I will never again eat at this restaurant nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. The service was horrible and the food was awful!! Each of our meals were either cold or not cooked right and for the price you have to pay, you would think we would have at least enjoyed something.
