A Modestly Priced Favorite. I love to stop by the Steakloft after work for a drink and dinner at the bar. Their food is consistently good and modestly priced. It's not fancy - your basic family "steak and chop house". But themenu is extensive and I've never had a bad meal. Waitstaff and bartenders are helpful and friendly. Drinks are good too! A place to return to again and again.

Not consistant. I generally like the Steak Loft but often times I find it's not consistant. I guess it depends on who's cooking that night. I've been there a number of times and sometimes I get my steak done just right but other times it comes out so deeply chared on the outside it ruins the flavor of the meat inside. Their prime rib surf and turf is usually excellent and a good value but you'll be taking chances on the filet mignon. You never know how it will come out. Their appetizers, salads and sides are all great but the chicken and fish dishes are so so - unless you get the lazy man's lobster which has always been very good. The atmosphere is dark like old fashioned English pub. It's pretty nice but the over hanging lights are way too close to the table which hurts your eyes after a while. Over all it's a very good place but they could use some consistancy in their chefs.
