BEST SALON - Better than Newbury St.!

OK first off...how can anyone give this place a thumbs down? It's cozy and clean. The staff is fabulous- especially Gina! She's been doing my hair for years and it comes out perfect everytime. The owner Kami is a pleasure to talk to. The services are priced so well that anyone can afford a cut, color and foil! You feel so at ease when you walk in and like a super star when you walk out. Everytime I make an appointment I never wait and their hours are great. They're even open on Sundays! Just make an appointment and you'll see how phenomenal they are. I love it there and wouldn't go anywhere else...plus my hairdresser knows too much about me..lol!

Buyers BEWARE!!!

My husband and daughter both went to Kami and Co. for quite awhile. Nicole is very good at what she does. My complaint comes with my daughter's last visit. The price to cut her hair, blow dry & straighten went from $40.00 to $65.00 without any notice!!! I was furious. My daughter is a teenager and I have never been charged that amount before for what was done. The owner Kami is the one who rang me out and I expressed my concern to him, he said "sorry we had a meeting and decided we are charging by the amount of time. My daughter was not taken right away so she was there for 75 minutes and was charged $65.00! He also said what do you pay your mechanic, I mean really - he asked me that??
I called my salon (Allure Salon - Northboro - Jocely is great!) and the cost will be $35.00 actually less than they were charging to begin with. My frustration was that we were not notified in advance of the price increase and not to mention I have never seen a $25.00 increase in one visit!!! I don't think he cares about losing customers because I told him I would not bring her back. My husband will not be going back as well. In addition, this salon does not support prices like this. It is run down and has bad parking. Where I go they offer you coffee, beverage etc. I would stay away from a place that conducts business like this!! I feel bad for Nicole - but she should look to work elsewhere. No wonder employees keep leaving this place. Extremely disappointed and frustrated.

AMAZING SALON

I have been going to Kami's my entire life. When I went to college I tried out a few other places around the area and they just couldn't even compete with Kami and Co salon. They know what they are doing and everyone always leaves looking amazing! The prices are reasonable especially for the amazing service they provide. I never feel more confident than when I leave that salon!

Excellent Salon

I'm going to remain neutral about the comment about the former employee. She was excellent while she was at Kami and there are always two sides to a story. Though her lack of communication to customers was disappointing, who are we to judge? That being said, my husband and I both go to Rose now. She is absolutely wonderful. I agree the owner does not know my name, but I don't care. This is the first time in years people actually comment on how much they like my hair and so do I! The salon is intimate, comfortable with no attitude and the staff is all genuine and caring. Not an old ladies salon, not a young person salon they seem to balance both perfectly.

Waste of Money

I had been going to Kami's for over 10 years. It was conveniently located in the downtown area of Westboro Ma. Westboro is a small town were small businesses rely on the type of customers they can familiarize themselves with, and relate to on a personal level. After ten years, the owner still didn't know my name.
They have treated their employees with this same disregard and carelessness. When my hairdresser left, so did I. She was the only excuse I had for contributing to the income of a known cheap-scape/ morally void individual.... If you see the owner with a pair of scissors in hand... run. On the one occassion I mistakenly allowed him to cut my hair, I had a cookie cutter 65+ hairstyle (apparently the only one he knows how to do).
