A Total New England Experience for less than 10 bucks. George's Coney Island Lunch is a place where

a) buy a delicious, cheap, noble hot dog

b) eat real, molasses-ey baked beans, full of salt pork and onions.

c) get a bag of Wachusett chips

d) get a literally-brewed-down-the-street Polar soda/ tasty beer

e) pay less than 10 dollars for such privileges

f) all of the above.

Of course its f. This place is New England summer in all its beautiful retro glory. Its not gourmet, but is it ever good.

Voted Best in City. The best hot dogs anywhere. Atmosphere is early 1940's-50's with wooden booths that have names of people and lovers carved into the seats and smoothed down over time. Prices are terrific, and service is great. You just stand in line (there's almost always a line), and tell the guy behind the counter "2 up" (if you want 2 hot dogs done the Coney Island way), and if you're a local, you'll ask for a chocolate milk to go with it...no kidding! Love this place.
