Absolutely the WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!!!. I ended up going here on my birthday with my family. The environment is not welcoming at all. We were seated first in a very cold area. Of course, we asked to switch seats. The seats & tables cheapened the whole look even more. The waitress was unfriendly and cold. Anyways, I ordered some meat with chicken and as I was finishing the meal my stomach started to hurt. All of a sudden I was pale, felt dizzy, and my blood pressure was very low. The ambulance ended up coming to the restaurant and I ended up going to the hospital. I had food poisoning and didn't get home on time to celebrate my Birthday. I did not do anything unusual that day so it is clear it was food poisoning from the food they served. And on top of everything, I now have very expensive medical bills that are not fully covered by insurance. Needless to say that I will NEVER IN MY LIFE COME TO THE OLIVE GARDEN AGAIN!!!!!!
Very long wait for a table.
It seems that everyone wants to eat there.
I have always had to wait 45 minutes minimum/.
Once even 2 hrs. ( I went somewhere else)
Traditional dishes and all -you-can-eat salad, soup and bread sticks are the draw at this upscale-casual Italian restaurant..
In Short
Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.
You've GOT to be Kidding!. How Olive Garden could make the top 10 Italian in a city with so many great Italian restaurants, is beyond me! Even at a low price point I can think of many that are better..... Massimino's, L'Osteria, Pomodoro... for starters...
Don't always get what you pay for. This OG tends to be a little better than the OG in hyannis. They really out to close the two of them. Cheap food does not automatically mean bargain. as low as the prices are the quality of the food is lower.
Where's the Good Food?. This restaurant does not deserve to be mentioned under Italian restaurants. It's a chain and you can taste it in the food. As well as see/feel it in the environment.
Italian Food?? I think NOT. This italian food chain does not belong, never mind deserve, to be in the same classification as the other italian restaurants. For authentic italian cusine, you need to go to the North End (although, there are places outside of the NE that are comparable). Otherwise, if you're looking for cheap, disgusting italian food, OG is the place to go.
Seriously?.
The Olive Garden?
Obviously rated highly by those who have never actually had italian food!
Did you just move here? Go to the Fleet Center and take a right, you'll find somehting called the North End.
I'll give it all 5's because its extremely average in every respect.
Try Joe Tecce's!!!!
Are you kidding. Great Italian food for people who think that McDonald's is a great place to take the family for a special night out.
Love it!. Love the sauce, love the breadsticks, love the house salad, love the cappucino, etc. It does get crowded and noisy (like any restaurant on the weekends) and the service isn't always top-notch, but we look forward to our meals at Olive Garden, nonetheless.
