In my opinion, a $40 dollar waste.
In my opinion this restaurant is highly inconsistent - you have a 50/50 chance of the food
being either decently edible or totally inedible.
Today was my fourth visit and it was totally inedible:
Baby Back Ribs -OLD,OLD,OLD meat. I sent the plate back and what returned was more old meat.
Cucumber Salad - Mushy (I would have never thought that possible with cucumbers until I tasted
it myself).
Collard Greens - Meat within them was dry and the collard greens were bland.
Corn Bread - This I ate because it was the only thing on my plate that was something worth 3
stars.
Yams - were served swimming in water and is the breaking point at which I had to write this
review because it added insult to injury.
So why did I return to a restaurant four times if the food is only edible at best? Because I
am a big lover of BBQ and have become desperate since my favorite Texas Roadhouse BBQ had a
roach sighting and their ribs turned into shoe leather.
If you must visit this restaurant at least do your self a favor and order nothing more than
the $15 or less plates of ribs so that you don't spend too too much on old hog if it happens
to be inedible that day.
As for me I just won't eat anymore BBQ until I get back to Cali.…
ABSOLUTE BEST BBQ in mass!!!. Don't let the location fool you, b/c I only eat at the best of the best 5 star joints, no Outback or Chili's... If you are looking for just the absolute BEST BBQ that you could find in mass... then this is the place for you!!! I don't eat BBQ all the time but whenever I do there is absolutely no place that I would go other then Tennessee's!!!!! Also GREAT for takeout and catering parties or a family cookout this summer, 4th of July?!?! ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy! b/c I know for certain I will be again!…
If you want BBQ this is the place to go. I have tried most of the menu and loved everything I tried. I have eaten BBQ in many places including Dallas, TX and KC, MO and would put this up against anyplace. If you like BBQ you won't be disapointed.…
Great BBQ fast!. I dont consider Blues and Country "cheesy music".. That's what they have been playing every time I have been in there.. As far as the food- gotta love it! The cornbread and southern sweet tea are both amazing and the pulled pork is awesome. They have three types of bbq sauce available on the side as well if you want more. The staff are great, the ambience is fun and the food rocks! Definitely stop by some time...…
Casually-dressed families enjoy serious-minded barbecue in the suburbs..
The Scene
Located on one end of a non-descript strip mall, Tennessee's serves up dependable, affordable barbecue platters to a suburban crowd. Diners choose from large overhead menu boards
and order at the counter. There are many huge tables, perfect for families who frequent the restaurant.
The Food
Don't let the locale fool you; this is serious barbecue. Some of the meats are marinated for 24 hours and then smoked another 16, ensuring moist, flavorful brisket and pulled pork. Hearty, award-winning ribs are a customer favorite, as are hefty burritos filled with apple-smoked chicken. Huge vats of tangy barbecue sauces provide extra flavor. Lighter fare includes jumbo salads topped with barbecued chicken. All platters come with a choice of sides, which include molasses baked beans, sticky-sweet candied yams, broccoli cole slaw and perfect mashed potatoes. Pecan pie's usually the only dessert available.…
