Bad Food Good Service

The customer service here was fine but the Haddock came out from the kitchen with a funny smell and weird taste to it. Their "mixed vegetables" were giant slices of green peppers and huge chunks of onion. The jasmine rice that was suppose to be with the haddock came with whit rice instead. On the menu the pasta primavera states that it comes comes with squash and zucchini When the plate came out it was mostly angel hair pasta with shavings of the vegetables an a lot of them were just the skins. For a restaurant that has been branded by Phantom Gourmet we were not happy with the food. 2 thumbs down.

Note: The staff did refund us for the Haddock as we wouldn't even eat it.

the fun never stops

we had a wonderful time watching the Celtics kick the Spurs in San Antonio..the multiple TVs allowed us to see everything and even catch some of the (NFL network only/meaningless) Bills vs Jets game my wife loved the Heartbreak Cosmo and the bartenders were the BEST!!..friendly atmosphere...good service...great food we had the calamari & some crabcakes...both were reasonably priced and DELICIOUS!!!

• Pros: fabulous drinks & friendly accomodating staff
• Cons: none so far...

Great Bar, amazing bartenders

From the bat the bartenders greeted us with a big smile, and there is nothing I like more! They have a great beer selection, and 8 beers on draft, the prices are great, from 3.50 to 5.50 for 20oz. The wine is also reasonably priced, my husband found four he loves, and the wine by the bottle has some great selection that are over $100-$150 in Boston, here they are HALF the price!

The burgers are overpriced, but the pizzas are HUGE and only 10$!!

Ask for Kat, she is our fav bartender, and she will hook you up!

Loved the chocolate bread pudding!

• Pros: best beer prices and wine in town
• Cons: have to park in emc parkinglot if the marathon's is full

Fresh & Creative

My Fiance & I were so excited to have a new place in town that I broke my cardinal rule--NEVER go to a restaurant that's been open less than a year as it generally takes that long to work the kinks out. Not so at Marathon--it's apparent that they did their homework prior to opening. The food is fresh and consistent. The Chef and menu are creative (TRY THE CALAMARI if you like "heat"), and the wait staff is friendly and well-educated on the menu (though if there's something they're not sure of, they'll find out). The entire staff at Marathon makes you feel like THEY want to be there which gives the place a fantastic vibe. We are so excited to have a local but GREAT restaurant so close to home! Thanks Marathon!

• Pros: Wait staff, calamari, atmosphere.....
• Cons: Easily fixed, but getting the check before finishing dinner

Yummy food, great service, super for kids

Kyle, our server, was great. Steak tips were perfect. Kids enjoyed reasonably priced menu. Kids also loved oreo cookie ice cream dessert. We almost left when we arrive. Parking lot was full and we assumed restaurant would have a wait. Don't be fooled. There is free valet parking. Valet was good enough to check seating for us and then park our car for us. Hope they are successful. They have been big supporters of the Hopkinton schools so I had to try them out and we were pleased!

• Pros: Great kids menu, ample portions, tasty steak tips
• Cons: parking can be misleading -- looks full and it isn't!
