This is a fine restaurant. The steaks are very tasty and very good quality. The ambiance is sophisticated but warm and friendly. I've yet to be dissapointed
Unedible

My wife and I were shopping in Framingham tonight and decided to give the Metro 9 steak house a try. The restaurant was nice in appearance both inside and out. Unfortunately that is only nice thing I can say. The server was polite but inattentive. I had to flag down the manager to find out why our meal was taking so long. Soon after he arrived with our meal and apologized saying the kitchen was backed up even though the place was not even close to full capacity. I was immediately disappointed by the size of my Rib eye after the extra long wait but I was hungry so I proceeded. First I tried the caramelized onion which was so bad I to remove it from my mouth. Next I tried the steak it was horrendous. My wife had ordered the chicken with rice and asparagus. The chicken was extremely greasy and the rice was tasteless. Neither of us has ever refused to eat food served to us until tonight. We asked the waitress for the check which the manager brought to our table. He had discounted the bill down to just the salads which was still too much. We did pay however and left to write this. Please save yourself the time and the money and do not eat there.
- Pros: Parking
- Cons: service,food
Sub-par Steakhouse
by MMS3737
My husband and I were looking forward to trying this place as we just moved to the suburbs and were interested in finding a decent steakhouse nearby. The atmosphere of this place is very nice. Classy and fun. However, the food was a HUGE disappointment. The food was came out cold and one plate had to be sent back. Each meal was bland and flavorless. Even dessert was just plain aweful. The wait staff was friendly but inattentive. Unfortunately, we will never go back to this place. Such a disappointment.
Best bar in metro west

Looking for a great place to unwind after work in the Metro West area? Visit Metro 9 Steakhouse on Route 9. Before you sit down for your meal make sure that you stop by the bar for a cocktail and visit Joe, Metro West's favorite bartender. Joe and his bar team are extremely personable, accommodating and treat their customers like guests in their home. If you are looking for a real life Sam Malone, look no further than Metro 9.
- Pros: Joe and the awesome bar team
Worst meal I can remember

My husband and I went to this steak house early on a Saturday night. We had a reservation and the place was almost empty when we arrived, but were seated at the rear of the dining room near the kitchen. Kitchen was so noisy we couldn't hear each other talk. All through the evening large buckets of ice and other supplies were ferried past our table from the kitchen to the bar area. I felt like I was dining in a warehouse.
My husband ordered a steak, which arrived without it's vegetable sides. After reminding the server, the sides finally appeared--cold--and garnished with a dead fly! Truly amazing presentation, even more so that the server didn't notice before bringing it to our table.
We won't go back. There are too many other good steak houses in the area to frequent a bad one.

Not a bad place- Convenient to many areas and across from the mall- a nice place off the beaten track to get a steak

Went to this fairly new establishment for a nice steak dinner. Got much more than that!!! The steak came out cooked perfect, the decor was perfect, the drinks were top shelf perfect. If you want to go to a place and leave feeling full and completely satisfied and already take out your calendar to plan a return visit then you should try the METRO 9 steakhouse. I can already taste it!!!
- Pros: Ambience, service, taste
- Cons: Non that I can think of
Nice Place, Poor Food! But not for long.......

I went there on date for a special evening even though I used a gift card that was given to me from a friend and highly recommended this place. We were greeted promptly and seated in a booth on the bar side of the restaurant. This was our choice as the football game was on and I wanted to watch the nice plasma tv's. We ordered and the server was attentive but not very knowledgeable about the wine or the food. I ordered steak and it came out over cooked and warm at best. You expect a steak to still be sizzling when it comes out to you. The steak was cold, the veggies were even colder. Not happy. My dates meal was the same. It was as if they forgot to bring it out to us after it was ready. I was going to send it back but didn't want to look picky in front of my date. We were going to get dessert until we saw the table next to us got something and they were all complaining about it so we passed and got chocolate martini's instead. They were good but they should think about filling the glasses up.
I would not recommend this place to anyone and stick to the better steak houses in Boston or else where. I would also suggest using your gift card soon as they will most likely not be there for long.
The Irish restaurant that was there before was much better.
- Pros: parking, plasma tv,
- Cons: price, food
Not a good restaurant or value
by ell18
Went to try it hoping for a good local steakhouse, beautiful decor and thats it.
Young staff totally amatuer.
Waitress had to be prompted to tell us the specials. Took 10 minutes to get a drink on a slow night
Bar liquor mixed into a top shelf drink poorly combined.
Low quality meat sent steak back 3 times because they could not cook it right
watery shrimp cocktail
a real dissapontment Ken's across the street is way better, but not very cosmopolitan, wish they could get Ken's food in their setting.
- Pros: Nice decor looks like a city top shelf steakhouse
- Cons: Dont judge a book by it's cover the food/service and quality stink!!
Pay no attention to the earlier reviews...

This was our first time to Metro 9, and we had a great experience from start to finish. Seating was prompt, and service was friendly and attentive. You must try the blueberry martini -- it's like drinking a crisp blueberry pie!
For appetizers, we enjoyed the duck spring rolls. They were hot, crispy, and juicy, and everything including the duck was properly seasoned.
Steaks (rib eye and prime rib) were done to perfection, and accompanied by specialty salts. The crab cake was perfect, and rivaled my wife's own recipe (although I'm not allowed to say it was better :)
Desserts, while delicious, needed more variety of choices.
Prices were affordable for an upscale steakhouse, and without the drive or parking hassles.
Our server tried hard but needed more practice pronouncing culinary terms.
Overall we had an excellent experience, and it was as good as Capitol Grille without the noise, prices and crowd. We would highly recommend Metro 9 above anything else in the Rt.9 strip.
- Pros: Steaks, service, price, parking
- Cons: dessert choices
