Worst Dealership
by Rosscool5
June 09, 2009
I came in to see a Audi A6 that I was ready to buy and the guy was really rude to me. He knew I would buy that car that day if I liked it. He was extremely rude to me and talked to me as if I was 5. He was the manager or assistant manager!!! Then we tried to give an offer that was 1,500 less than what it cost, and he pointed to a sign that said no offers. The car is $36,000!!!! Worst Dealership I have ever gone. Go to Westwood auto mall, I bought my car there and it was a great experience. Great staff and great prices
- Pros: Low Price
- Cons: No bartering, rude, not helpful at all
These People LIE!!!

My husband and I put a deposit on an MDX. After waiting 3 1/2 weeks for a title to come in, we went to pick up the car. Thank God we looked at it before signing the papers. There were huge scratches on the windshield, the side had been sideswiped, there were more chips in the paint than I could count and one alloy wheel had scratches and chips on it. The loose door and mirror had also not been fixed as requested. The salesman tried to tell us that this was the condition of the car when we saw it. (He forgot that he inspected the car before and after we test drove it to make sure no scratches or dents where on the vehicle.) He tried to say the the scratches on the windshield were from windshield wipers, however they ran vertical from top to bottom - not horizontal. The salesman got extremely defensive when we asked what happened. He stated "you are not buying a new car". We said that was correct but we wanted the car we put the deposit on. The manager said (after much discussion) that the paint, loose door and mirror would be fixed but he was unwilling to fix the windshield. He told us to claim it under our insurance. When we told him that the car was in his possession when this happened and he said "it won't cost you anything, just claim it on your insurance." Since we did not want to commit fraud, we declined the vehicle.

I brought my printed out ad from them stating a car they had was being sold for 20,999 when I got there they said it is selling for 23,000 and nothing less. The car had more problems than a car that has been turned into a cube. They would not acknowledge the problems and still wanted top dollar for a broken car. The salesman wouldn't budge a cent from the 23,000 dollar price he gave me and he wanted to give me next to nothing for my trade in. AVOID THIS DEALER AT ALL COSTS they lie about their ad so they can get you in then they throw you with a higher price tag.
- Pros: Nice cars on the lot
- Cons: EVERYTHING

I am a local customer who went to Automax to buy 2008 Audi A6 that I saw advertised in the newspaper. Upon arrival at the Route (9) dealership I saw so many nice cars and really got confused. My salesman Randy test drove about eight cars with me before I fell in love with the Mercedes. Randy was so friendly, helpful, and patient he went over every car with me in detail, showed me each car's service history and introduced me to the service manager at the dealership. I was really impressed with the service facilities at Automax, as it was packed with customers getting state inspections and so forth. I purchased a 2006 Mercedes E350 and I am happy with the decision. I have been driving the car for three months now and everything has been smooth. I have shopped many new and used car dealers in the Boston area and not one of them showed me the kind of respect, patience, courtesy and pricing Randy did at Automax. I have since referred several friends who have all bought cars from Automax and are very satisfied as well.
Randy,
Hope to see you at Pop Warner,
Jeff

Paul,
I just want to thank you again for all your help with the purchase of my 2007 Toyota Corolla through Automax. It was a positive experience throughout the process.. Paul, the sales rep who I worked with, was professional, courteous and knowledgable. No hard sell, no pressure, "you need to buy today..." speeches, and other negatives usually attributed to the car-buying experience. Just professional follow-up, honest negotiating and a very fair price. The service follow up were prompt and prffessional. Everyone was courteous and their experience and professionalism shined through., I would definitely buy from Automax Preowned again and highly recommend this dealer for Sales and Service. Thanks again Liz.
- Pros: Professional, curtious, selection, location, price.
- Cons: Short hours on the weekend

Found this delaership by driveby on my way to work Rt 9 Framingham, pulled in and immediatley found an unbelielable selection of Japanese cars. I was thinking Honda , Toyota primarily because used Subarus are a lot of money. I spoke with Kevin and really felt comfortable with his approach and honesty. The prices were thousands less than the Subaru dealer and Automax was very accomodating with the service. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new or used car.
- Pros: good selection
- Cons: little negotiation

Take a closer look at the dates on the 5 star reviews! 3 or 4 on the same day, then another 2 or 3 on the next day. Then a big gap and it starts up again. Kind of odd isn't it? Also, notice how specific they are in every review about including specifics on the location "Rte 9", "next to the McDonalds", "next to the college", "next to the Ford place" - and those were all from 1 review! Give me a break. Who puts that much location detail in a review? You've got the address already! All the 5 start reviews read like they were written by a bad Ad Agency. How transparent.
When you go visit these clowns, the first thing to ask them is if they populate the internet with self authored 'reviews' of their dealership. You want to see what kind of operation they run? Read the non-5 Star reviews.
Scumbags!
- Pros: Large inventory, low prices
- Cons: Exactly, they're all Cons!

not sure what others are talking about.. the owner and sales person were honest about the BMW i purchased and very, very helpful. I went back for service.. no problem, very professional and courteous. I have bought before from another dealer and was not happy. So when my friend highly recommended Automax b/c of the quality of cars and sales, service. I even went back with a question and they were so helpful. I also referred 2 other friends who bought a Lexus and an Toyota. Both had only the best to say about there experience- I highly recommend going here for a honest, good price and follow through. oh and i was easily approved for credit-
- Pros: great selection and honest about what they are selling
- Cons: none so far (had car for +1 year)
